Chief Meteorologist Jeff Rucker gives a presentation about severe weather and flash flooding to a group of about 25 NBC 26 storm spotters in a quarterly training event.

Saturday morning, about 25 members of our storm spotter team were at the NBC 26 studio learning more about thunderstorms and flash flooding.

Chief Meteorologist Jeff Rucker gave an interesting presentation that also included information on how to tell if a storm might be severe by looking at Radar.

Our spotters also had an opportunity to participate in an online simulation of issuing severe weather warnings themselves, in much the same way actual National Weather Service meteorologists do.
